Joanna started at the National Health Co-op as a Nurse Practitioner in 2018, and has extensive experience at various medical centres, residential aged care facilities, and community clinics. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Edith Cowan University in Perth, and a master’s degree from Edith Cowan and Flinders University in Adelaide.
As a nurse practitioner, she can provide all standard nursing services and many more. This includes providing prescriptions, specialist referrals, pathology ordering, simple x-rays and ultrasounds, cervical screening, implanon procedures, and suturing.
Please note that referrals to allied health practitioners (psychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, podiatrists etc.), pelvic ultrasounds, skin checks, driving medicals and mental health or care plans are outside Joanna’s remit – these procedures should be booked with a GP.
