Getting to the NHC Evatt Medical Centre
Tucked away in a leafy cul-de-sac on McClure Place – right next to the Evatt Shops – this clinic services the West Belconnen area including the suburbs of Evatt, McKellar, Melba, Flynn, and Charnwood. There is parking directly in front of the clinic or at the shops and the 43 bus stops close to the clinic.

Dr Dinesh Mehra
Dinesh Mehra commenced his employment with the National Health Co-op as a registered General Practitioner in 2015, following extensive work experience and training in Australia and India.
Prior to joining the National Health Co-op, Dinesh practiced as a GP at Ngunnawal Medical & Skin Clinic in Canberra.
Dinesh obtained his MBBS Qualifications from University of Delhi, India. Dinesh is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds an AMC certificate. Dinesh has also completed a Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine.
AREAS OF PARTICULAR INTEREST: Dermatology, Skin Checks.
Dr Michael Anefu Unobe
Michael commenced his employment with the National Health Co-op as a registered General Practitioner in 2015 following extensive work experience and training in Nigeria and the Caribbean.
Michael obtained his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria.
Michael is also a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
AREAS OF PARTICULAR INTEREST: Mental Health, Indigenous Health.
Dr Madeline Burrell
Madeline commenced her work at the National Health Co-op as a General Practitioner Registrar in 2020 following extensive work experience and training at ACT Health as a junior doctor.
Prior to joining the National Health Co-op, Madeline practised at Calvary Bruce Hospital working in a critical care role.
Madeline obtained her medical degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and in rural campuses. She obtained a bachelor of medical studies/Doctor of medicine from the University of New South Wales.
AREA OF PARTICULAR INTEREST: Women’s Health.
Laxmi Pun started with NHC on 9 Nov 2020 as a Registered Nurse. She brings with herself experiences from RSL Life Care and University of Canberra Hospital. Laxmi has a Bachelor of Nursing degree from University of Canberra.

Our Covid Precautions

Telehealth is a great way to get medical advice from the comfort of your own home. Due to the pandemic, there are certain patients who we strongly advise not to attend the clinic in person. Please book for Telehealth if you have;

- Returned from overseas in the last 14 days.
