28th February, 2020Health Update – Coronavirus
If you have recently returned from:
- Hong Kong
- South Korea
(or have had a close contact with someone who recently returned from one of these countries), and are feeling unwell or suspect you may have symptoms of Coronavirus, you should seek medical advice.
This includes but is not limited to a history of fever, sudden onset of respiratory infection with shortness of breath, cough or sore throat.
Please note that you are able to seek information on Coronavirus/COVID-19 by calling the Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If the above Criteria apply to you and you require an appointment, please notify a Receptionist on the phone that you are experiencing symptoms of the Coronavirus so that appropriate isolation measures can be taken upon your arrival at the clinic. This will prevent infecting other people in the case that you do in fact have the disease. This also means that your doctor is aware of your symptoms and your travel history ahead of the appointment time.
It is important that you promptly use one of the masks available at our clinic front desk and also comply with all precautionary instructions provided by our staff during your clinic visit.
