The National Health Co-op (NHC) has today announced the resignation of Adrian Watts, who has led the organisation since the beginning of 2015.
Adrian Watts said, “After nine years as Director and the last five as Managing Director and CEO of NHC, I have thoroughly enjoyed leading the establishment and development of what is now Australia’s largest patient owned and operated primary healthcare organisation.”
“It has been an immense privilege to serve our members in this role and I am proud of what our team has been able to achieve through the provision of quality, affordable and accessible healthcare for our community.”
Linda Addison, Chair of the NHC Board, thanked Adrian for his work: “Adrian has passionately led a strong team of health professionals, committed to ensuring healthcare is accessible for all. During his tenure as CEO, the NHC has continued to strengthen its position as the leader of primary healthcare in the ACT region and we are now well placed to ensure we continue this into the next decade.”
Adrian Watts will depart NHC in late November and take some well-earned leave with his family before continuing his work in the community sector.
The NHC Board will be advertising the role shortly and aims to progress the recruitment process so a new CEO is in place as we enter an important period of work in 2020.
