The menopause refers to the time in a woman’s life when her periods stop and her ovaries lose their reproductive function. Usually, this occurs between the ages of 45-55; in Australian women the average age to reach menopause is 51. With symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, sleeplessness, vaginal dryness and reduced libido, as well as changes in emotional well-being, many women can feel at times overwhelmed by the experience.

The National Health Co-op is hosting a free information session on Tuesday 24 April in Yass, NSW to discuss the menopause and provide guidance and support to those women going through ‘the change’.

Light refreshments will be served and you are welcome to bring a guest.
