Having a baby? Do you have questions about breastfeeding?
The National Health Co-op and the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA), supported by Service One Alliance Bank, invite you to come along to our relaxed information session for expectant mothers and fathers and learn about the best start you can give your baby. Although breastfeeding is natural and best for babies and mothers, it doesn’t always come easily and is a learned art. Most women given time and support can, and do, breastfeed. Our aim at this session is to provide expectant parents with confidence to successfully breastfeed their babies.
This information session, presented by the ABA, is designed for expectant and new parents to prepare for the vital days, weeks and months after their baby’s birth. Together we will expand upon the knowledge gained at antenatal classes, and give up-to-date information and insights into breastfeeding a baby and parenting in the early days. We encourage parents to register if they are currently pregnant or have recently given birth (less than 3 months ago).
Thanks to ACT Health’s support of the ABA, this session is being offered at no cost for participants. Participants will also receive a 1-year membership of the ABA (normally $70).
Please note: this session is part of an evaluation program being run by the ABA; by registering for this class you agree to share your contact details with the ABA and to participate in follow-up surveys or interviews conducted by the ABA.
