It’s never easy talking about death. It’s uncomfortable and confronting, but talking about what we would like to do when the time is nearing is important. Preparing our wishes with family helps them understand and prepare, and makes our last moments with loved ones more precious and less stressful.
Discussing and planning our wishes come in the forms of Advance Care Plans and/or an Enduring Power of Attorney. Both documents help finalise our wishes. Information has been provided here to help you understand the differences between an Advance Care Plan and an Enduring Power of Attorney.
To learn more about how these documents can support your end of life planning and how to emotionally prepare with those close to you, join us on Monday 7 August for an open discussion on the topic. We will have guest speakers from the Calvary Hospital and Canberra Grief Centre to answer any questions you might have. You are welcome to bring along your loved ones.
