In Australia, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 85. The good news is that research has shown that regular screening of women over the age of 50 has been effective in reducing deaths from breast cancer through early detection.

The National Health Co-op, in collaboration with SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank and BreastScreen ACT, is holding an education session on Tuesday, 31 January 2017 to discuss breast screening.

Anyone interested in learning more about what breast screening involves and the important role it plays in women’s health is encouraged to attend. You are welcome to invite a guest.
