Announcement of new ownership and transfer of health records
Aaron Torline and Michael Slaven were appointed by the NHC Board of Directors as Joint and Several Administrators of NHC on 21 June 2021 and subsequently at a meeting of creditors, were appointed Joint and Several Liquidators on 27 October 2021.
The timely decision by the Board of Directors to place NHC into voluntary administration allowed the Administrators time to explore options to ensure continuity of services beyond the administration process.
Restructuring of NHC Services
The Liquidators are pleased to announce that NHC has completed the sale of NHC clinics located at ANU, Chisholm, Coombs, Evatt, Higgins, Kippax and Macquarie to be restructured into seven independently owned and operated GP clinics.
New Clinic Contact Details Upcoming Appointments and Medical Records
Details of the new independently owned clinics are listed below. As such, you may make an appointment to attend any one of the seven clinics except for ANU, noting that the ANU clinic will only accept appointments from ANU staff and students.
All clinics, with the exception of the new ANU and Higgins clinics, have received a copy of your patient file. The new ANU clinic has only received copies of patient files for ANU staff and students whereas the new Higgins clinic has received copies of patient files in respect of those individuals who have had an appointment with an NHC doctor, nurse or health service provider within the last two years, who will be practising from the new Higgins clinic.
As is normal practice, should you wish to have a copy of your medical records transferred to another practice, you may do so by requesting your new medical practice to submit a record transfer request form with any of the new clinics.
